This app is wonderful! You get a pose database with audiovideo instructions for training. Quick recipes offers 6 beginner, 6 intermediate, 7 advanced and 6 Guru sequence to get you started immediately. Times vary from 23 minutes to 1.5 hours (for the higher levels). These sequences target specific goals. A personal Yoga Teacher will hunt through the Quick Recipes to find the best one for your age, weight, level/style of training and goal. You can create your own sequences with just a few clicks. The Calendar automatically tracks your workouts. Clearly, the features were developed "mindfully*.
Ive had some rather perfunctory yoga teachers who didnt work on your pose form enough. This app is somewhat better at explaining than that. But clear explainations dont always correct mistakes and my current strict and wonderful yoga guru does that for me. However, lessons are expensive! As a portable supplement to lessons, this app is just the ticket! I can create quickie stretches for the office or longer home workouts. I can travel with the workouts stored on my Macbook Air.
The download is long but I let it run overnight and it was fine in the morning. There are multiple versions of this app: the free versions, the version for the macs, separate version for the iphone/pad/touch, all with different prices. Hunt them all down, then decide!
The price is 5.99 which is dirt cheap compared to yoga lessons. You want a DYI yoga workout. Do it! Not sure? Try the free version. The one and only quick recipe gives preview. Besides, it may keep you going for a long time before you want something more challenging.
Thank you All-in Yoga!
